During his keynote address opening his company’s Clio Cloud Conference today, cofounder and CEO Jack Newton announced a number of new products and features tied to its core law practice management products Clio Manage and Clio Grow.

Google My Business integration. Clio now integrates with Google My Business, a service that enables clients who find you through a Google search to learn more about you and directly engage with you by email or a call. The integration means that Clio customers will be able to manage how their business appears on Google search and maps, and create, publish, and manage their Google My Business profile directly from Clio.

Paid consultations. Clio already offers Clio Payments, an e-payment solution powered by LawPay. This enhancement enables clients to schedule paid initial consultations with lawyers through Clio, which the company says should reduce client intake costs and no shows.

Clio for Clients. Clio for Clients is a new app designed to enable clients to stay connected with their lawyer, receiving updates and case documentation and securely chatting. The app enables clients of lawyers using the Clio platform to receive updates and documents and communicate with their their lawyer. It also includes a scan function so that clients can scan and transmit documents to their lawyer through the app.

E-signatures. E-signing through Hellosign is now directly integrated into Clio Manage, meaning users can now prepare, send, and electronically sign documents directly from within the platform. Once documents are reviewed and signed, they are saved automatically in Clio.

Microsoft Teams integration. A new integration with Microsoft Teams enables Clio customers to automatically create new teams when they create a new matter in Clio and access them at any time from the Matter Dashboard.

Zoom integration. In one click, Clio customers can add a unique Zoom link to their Clio Manage calendar invites. Zoom will be integrated natively into the Clio calendar, so that any meeting can be made a Zoom meeting, and event invites can include all the details needed to join the video call, including a password.

Dialpad. A new integration between Clio Manage and the VoIP service Dialpad enables firms to have a dedicated, cloud-based business phone line, without being tied down to a fixed landline. Users will be able to receive and make calls directly within the Clio platform. The integration helps firms better capture billable time spent on calls with clients and keep logs of their communications.

Automatic bill reminders. A new feature of Clio Manage allows customers to have bill reminders sent automatically to clients of account balances. This is available today on an early-access basis to all attendees of the Clio Cloud Conference.

Sign in with Clio. This feature will allow Clio users to log-in to integrated third-party applications using the same credentials used for Clio Manage and Clio Grow. This is launching initially for Clio’s integration partners Fastcase, Legalboards, myFirmData, WiseTime and LawYaw, but Clio plans eventually to extend it to all of its more than 200 integrations.
