Are you a lawyer-turned-journalist or a journalist with an interest in writing about legal issues? If so, then here’s the job for you.

The ABA Journal, the flagship magazine and website of the American Bar Association, is looking for a full-time legal affairs writer. And, although the publication is based in Chicago, the job can be done from anywhere, Molly McDonough, the editor and publisher, tells me.

Here’s the summary description of the job:

The job works with limited supervision in the development of story ideas and writes compelling legal affairs articles, features, and specialty pieces for the ABA Journal in both print and electronic formats.

A law degree is preferred but not required. However, they are looking for someone with at least five years’ experience in reporting and writing in the area of legal affairs.

Salary range at hiring is $68,900 to $77,960.
