The cloud practice management platform Rocket Matter rolled out a new product today: client intake forms for law firm websites that integrate with the Rocket Matter platform. All of the information a client or potential client enters is directly added to the firm’s contacts on Rocket Matter and can then be used to automate the creation of engagement letters, pleadings, wills or other legal documents.
The new product, called Rocket Matter Intake, can also be used in law firm marketing, says Larry Port, Rocket Matter CEO. A firm could, for example, create different forms and landing pages for different advertising campaigns and track which campaigns are more effective. The product can identify where prospects who fill out the form come from on the Web.
Forms can be customized with different fields for different practice areas. Rocket Matter will custom-build the forms and map their fields to the Rocket Matter contact-management application. The forms can be embedded on any website.
The product is being released in beta and will initially be offered only by invitation to current Rocket Matter customers. The product will be sold as an add-on to the Rocket Matter practice management platform. Pricing will be quote-based, Port said, based on the number of forms and fields a firm wants to create. It will start at around $50 a month, he said.
Port believes these intake forms will save firms time and inconvenience. When a new client comes in, for example, the receptionist could simply hand the person an iPad and have the form filled out. Or, even before the client comes in, the firm could simply email a link to the form and have all the client’s information added to the system in advance of the first meeting.
